Falcons Dominate Eagles, Now 7-0

Falcons head coach Mike Smith has got to be on Cloud 9. Not only did his Falcons defeat the Eagles 30-17 to stay undefeated at 7-0, but with that win, Smith now stands alone as the winningest coach in Falcons history. In just 71 games, Smith has won 50 games, the third shortest amount of time for a head coach since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger.

The victory over the Eagles broke two streaks. First, this is Atlanta’s first win in Philadelphia since Oct 30, 1988, going 0-6 during the stretch. Second, this was Andy Reid’s first loss following a bye week. He was a perfect 13-0 previously.

Overall, Atlanta played a great game in all aspects of the game. Atlanta’s offense didn’t turn the ball over, the defense was solid and even special teams came through.
