We all like a trick play here and there, but the Washington Redskins should refrain from using Robert Griffin III as a receiver.

In the video courtesy of Cosby Sweaters, Griffin III ended up swing out for a pass and took a vicious lick from Ryan Clark.

To make matters worse, RG3 was called for offensive pass interference.

Rugby Vs American Football (No contest)

Ramblings from a Strange Woman... I Am Not Your Average Housewife!! ©

Last night we were watching the New England Patriots play the LA Rams at Wembley Stadium in London on Tv, it is the 6th year that American Football has come to Wembley, Now years ago when I lived in the states I used to go and watch Washington Redskins play..

(you can tell it was years ago by the very bad 110 picture quality and the fact that it was scanned from a very old negative. )

Anyway one thing that struck me last night was how boring American football had become. It’s not even the same game I used to watch 30 years ago, it’s now a Quarterbacks game and even more sissy then it was before and the quarters are dragged out even more now than they were before…. I have to say give me Rugby any day.

It’s interesting that American Football and Rugby are so similar…

Buccaneers Could Lose Another Cornerback Due To Suspension

CBS Tampa

By Kyra Hallett

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers may lose another cornerback to suspension due to use of an illegal substance.  Eric Wright is the second Bucs player in two weeks to be accused of using Adderall.  The NFL has not come out with a ruling yet, but it is looking like he will face a four-game suspension like Aqib Talib.  Fox Sports NFL insider Jay Glazer reported the story first on Sunday.

Talib still has one week left in his suspension and is due back November 5 for Week 10 versus the San Diego Chargers.  He took full responsibility for his actions and did not appeal.

“Around the beginning of training camp, I made a mistake by taking an Adderall pill without a prescription.  This is especially regrettable because, for the past several months, with Coach Schiano’s help, I’ve worked very hard to improve myself — professionally and personally —…

Dolphins Overcome Jets

Clutch Sports

Miami Dolphins extended their winning streak to three after a gutsy 30-9 upset win over the New York Jets.

Matt Moore was forced to take over quarterback duties after rookie Ryan Tannehill was forced out of the game in the first quarter with a hyper extended knee.

After being demoted to backup at the beginning of the season, Moore put in a solid performance on Sunday completing 11 of his 19 passes for 131 yards and a touchdown.

Following the game, Tannehill was confident about his chances of returning for next week’s game against the Colts, stating: “I was optimistic about getting back in the game, and I’m optimistic about getting ready to go next week.”

“I could’ve gone if it was an emergency situation. Was trying to get it loose so I could be good to go, (but) we were up big and Matt (Moore) was doing a good…

The Carolina Panthers: Bringing you new ways to lose each weekend.

Reclaim the Alternative

For about forty five minutes, just forty five minutes, I thought it was going to happen. I couldn’t believe it, and yet, it was happening. There I was Sunday afternoon after church, sitting on my living room couch, watching the Panthers and Bears game on FOX. What I was witnessing though, wasn’t what a Panther’s fan normally is witness to. The Panthers were winning, and not just winning, but they had a real and good lead on the Chicago Bears. I couldn’t believe it.

But then it happened. After leading the Bears 19-7 going into the fourth period, the Panthers lost it. They just lost it. Looking back at the stats its pretty hard to convince yourself how it all happened. It’s a lot easier if you actually watched the game (duh).

But in all honesty, the Panthers’ defense played a hell of a game. The Bears were kept to…

Questions Remain Following Post-Bye Week Loss

The Eagles Nest

Football has a love/hate relationship with fans, and now for me it is absolutely hate. Watching my beloved Eagles is no longer fun for me. The Eagles loss to the Falcons is the first time the Eagles have lost after a bye week in the Andy Reid era. Granted, the Falcons were also coming off of a bye week. Still, the Eagles did not show up against the 6-0 Falcons. After all the changes, all the hype, and a 3-1 start, it looked like the Eagles might be for real this year. But now after losing 3 in a row they again have a losing record. The time at the top of the NFC East was very short lived.

Last season was considered a disaster for the Eagles by most NFL fans. But there were believable excuses. The Eagles had too many new players and coaching schemes to institute in…
